The music industry has long been a ‘boys club’ and the vinyl industry itself is arguably even worse. Recent research shows that women STILL receive less pay for the same work/gigs, and less recognition for their work. This has started to shift in the last decade with many courageous women publicly agitating for change.

But here and all over the world, we still have a ways to go.

All week, we’ll be featuring pioneering women in the music industry, who kicked ass and changed the course of history. Beginning with this afternoon’s Record Of The Month announcement, our own wonder woman, Lauren, is hosting women-themed trivia in our members-only Facebook chat, as well as interviewing our kick-ass ‘Waxx Lyrical Wonder Women’ and spotlighting them on Instagram.

We’ve also created a mammoth playlist, designed to soundtrack your week thoroughly. Blast it through the office or your home all week and pay tribute to the finest of women in music.

Stay tuned to all happenings this week and help us accelerate action for women in music. 🙌🏻
