"This record was written while I was touring the US and Europe with my sister band Gabriella Cohen. That band showed me the most incredible highs of being in the industry; living the dream from 2015 - 2019. As a touring band we were a happy, healthy group - but we bore witness to darkness around us. The never-ending hustle: extreme crowds, isolation, addiction, and burnout. The mythology of rock n roll and its utopian sales pitch is DIESEL FOREVER.
 
After touring with GC, I came back to Brisbane. Good friends Matt Malone and Xavier butler asked if I had anything to record - they had an opening at @chaosmagickstudios in two weeks. I was ready.
 
I have never had a permanent band for FFMB, but I knew this needed to be recorded with genuine rock giants. Luke, Christian, Caleb and Drew had shared the stage with me before. Just looking at them, I knew I would make a good album. Together, Diesel Forever was lovingly recorded with one rehearsal and no click track above a bookshop on the main street of our beloved West End."
